Not a slogan.
What we collect, what never leaves your device, and exactly who can see what. The same boundary applies whether you're a person, an owner or a partner.
Last updated 2026. Applies to all EWUS devices, ewusOS, apps and connected services.
1. What stays on your device
Detailed browsing and traffic activity, which device visited what, when, is recorded locally on your EWUS gateway and never leaves it. Only aggregate counts and trends, not destinations, travel to our cloud, and only what's needed to keep the service running and give you the dashboards you actually use.
2. Who can see what
We apply one consistent boundary across every audience:
- You see your own complete activity: your devices, your usage, your timing.
- A household, property owner or administrator sees totals, fair-use position and network health. Never anyone's individual browsing.
- A partner or reseller sees fleet and commercial information. Never any end user's personal data.
Parents see safety summaries and alerts for their children, not a private browsing log, consistent with our written promise. The same principle applies one level up for residents and property owners, and one level up again for end customers and our channel partners.
3. What we collect and why
Account details you give us directly (name, contact information, billing details where relevant), device and network metadata needed to operate and secure the service, and aggregate usage trends. We collect the minimum needed to run the product, not the maximum we could technically gather.
4. How long we keep it
Different kinds of records are kept for different lengths of time. Full detail lives locally for a short window; summarised trends are retained for longer to power your dashboards; audit records of account and security actions are kept and never silently deleted; anything required by law in provider deployments is retained exactly as long as the law requires, no longer.
5. We don't sell your data
We don't sell personal data to anyone, ever. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share the minimum necessary with service providers who help us run EWUS (such as payment processing or SMS delivery), bound by their own confidentiality obligations to us.
6. Remote support access
Our support team cannot access your device without your explicit, time-limited grant. Every access is logged and shown back to you afterward, and you can revoke it at any time.
7. Children's data
HomeShield is built to protect children on a family network, not to surveil them. A child's individual browsing detail stays local to your gateway; what reaches a parent is a safety summary and alerts, not a log. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children beyond what's needed for this protection, and we don't use it for any other purpose.
8. Your rights
You can ask us what account data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated cloud-held data, subject to what we're legally required to retain (for example, statutory records in provider deployments). Write to us and we'll act on it.
9. Security
Every instruction sent to a device is signed and verified before it's applied, including instructions that appear to come from our own cloud. Data in transit and at rest is encrypted. No system is unbreakable, but we design as if it will be tested.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and make a reasonable effort to tell active account holders directly, not just quietly edit this page.
